ガスタウンに行ってきました I went to Gastown.
今日は午後から語学学校のオンラインオリエンテーションがあったため朝早めに出てガスタウンに行くことにしました。ちょうど語学学校が始まると家を出る時間くらいに出ました。バスは通学の学生で非常に混んでいました。「もう乗れないから次のやつに乗って」という運転手の言葉が聞き取れず乗り込んでしまい、変な顔をされました。恥ずかしい。人込みは嫌いなので避ける方法を考えてみたいと思います。電車に乗り換えてwaterfrontに行き、オリンピックの聖火台を見に行きました。バンクーバーオリンピックってこんなに前でしたっけ笑。
有名なガスタウンに行きました。たしかにいい雰囲気でそこだけ違う空気が流れていました。有名な時計台と銅像をみて帰ってきました。その先にやや治安の悪い地区があり、銅像付近にはちょっとやばそうな人が流れ込んできていましたので、そそくさと帰りました。帰りは道を変えたのですが地図的には大丈夫なはずが、結構やばい空気の場所だったので速足で歩きました。ちょっと焦った。
その後、バスでグランビルアイランドに行きました。大きなマーケットがあり、パン、野菜、果物などいろんなものを売っていました。思ったほど安くなかったです。昼食はホストマザーがサンドイッチを作ってくれていたのですが、せっかく来たので何か買ってみたくなり、一番会話が必要と思われる自分で入れる食品を選ぶサンドイッチ（subway的な）でサンドイッチを作りました。わからないところを適当にうなづいたらトーストしないつもりがめちゃトーストされました。帰りにたまたま寄った子供用の店で面白いものを見つけてしまい、思わず衝動買いしました。これ子供用？子供にはあまりに詳しいのではないでしょうか。そして我々に結構役立つんではないでしょうか。
急いで帰ってオンラインのオリエンテーションを受けようかと思ったら、予定が変更されていたようで、そのことも知らされておらず。。。ちょっと雑なのではとすこしイラっとしましたが、あきらめましょう。
やることなくなったので勉強してましたが、年も年なのに連日歩き続けて疲れてましていつの間にか寝てました。明日も頑張ります。
英語書いたのに消えた笑 勉強の機会が増えたと思ってがんばろ
I decided to go to Gastown today. I went out early in the morning, bcause I had a school orientation in the afternoon. I leaved house at 8 a.m. when I'm going out after the school start. The bus was really crowded with students. The driver told me not to get on because the bus was packed but I didn't get my head around what he said, and got on. He got angry. I 'm going to change the bus or time to avoid a crowd of people. I changed to the train and got to waterfront station. I saw the Olympic cauldron. I thought the Vancouver's Olympic few years ago.
I walked to Gastown. Gastown is famous for the steam clock and the statue of Gassy Jack. I like the atmosphere of the street. The china town that is rough area is east of the statue. I avoided the area, but there were some addict. I walked fast to escape from there.
Then I went to Granville island. There is a big market where alot of fruits bread, vegetables were sold which were not cheaper than I thought. I wanted to try somethig and decided to eat a sandwich that I had to select the ingredients of, because I thought it took me much time speaking English. I didn't want to toast the sandwich but the final prroduct was toasted because I didn't catch some words and only nodded and smiled. I happened to enter the toy shop. I found interesting books and bought them. It is benefitical not for children but for us. I planed to join the orientation that didn't take place. The school had never told me. That sloppy work drove me on the wall.
