領事館

今日は学校の都合で休みだったので免許を変更するため日本領事館へ行きました。

少し時間を遅くするとやはりバスも電車も空いていますね。

予想通り日本領事館に来る人はほとんどおらず、手続きはすぐに終わりました。久しぶりに人から日本語で話しかけられたのでびっくりしました。

帰りにA&Wに行きました。薬草臭い飲み物の頼み方がわからなかったので普通にセットを頼みました。狙った通りサイドメニューと飲み物の選択肢を示されて聞き取れないイベントが発生しました。飲み物はコーヒー、サイドメニューはイングリッシュマフィンになりましたが、ほかの選択肢は聞き取れないままでした。

今日は雨だったのでそのまま帰って勉強しました。

語学の伸びはわかりづらいからいつも不安ですね。

 I went to Consulate General of Japan to renew my driver's licence because because today was school holiday. I took a later bus that was less crowded. There were few people in the consulate and it took a short time to finish the procedure. I was surprised the staff spoke to me in Japanese because it’s been a while since last spoke in Japanese. 

 I popped into A&W. I ordered becon and egger combo because I wasn't sure how to get the drink smeling like a herb. I had to chose a side menu and a drink as I expected. Of course I had difficulty catching what a staff said.
